Current Project

This house was previously in 7 units, largely unoccupied for a number of years, period features such as fireplaces had been removed and the entrances to the main reception rooms had been moved to facilitate bathrooms in the studio apartments. Upstairs the original footprint of the return wing was hard to define and bathrooms and landings made it difficult to envisage how the house would have looked. However there was a fine arch and a particularly solid staircase in the hall, some of the cornices could be saved and it was like Christmas coming early when we found the original sliding doors which had been hidden away in their pockets for more than fifty years. The house will be completely restored over the coming months.
