A search for a house suitable for a long term residential investment yielded this little gem. The house was in reasonable condition but suffered from rising damp and the downstairs floors were in poor condition. The original staircase was partitioned off and boarded up. As part of  the renovation the house was fully insulated – external walls, under floors and attic and this led to a decent BER certificate. Corner chimney breasts in the upstairs shower room and kitchen below required special treatment in order to use the space more effectively. The feature low hung pendant light is ideal as the table takes pride of place in the dining area and never has to be moved. New simply finished cupboards under the stairs disguise the fridge freezer and provide excellent storage.
